Mount Umm Ad-Dami

Jabal Umm ad-Dami, located in the Wadi Rum Protected Area, is Jordan's highest mountain, standing at 1,854 meters. It offers a challenging yet rewarding hike with panoramic views extending to Saudi Arabia and, on clear days, the Red Sea.  Hikers can spot wildlife like ibex and hyraxes, and the area also holds archaeological treasures, including rock art and ancient tombs. The ascent usually starts with a jeep ride from Wadi Rum village to the base, followed by a guided trek that takes around 2-3 hours each way.
